Week 6

I am finishing up my Curriculum Unit this week. The only thing that hasn't been completed is my presentation. The actual presentation is done, but I'm racking my brain to try to link it to my overview page. The presentation was created using PowerPoint, which was fairly easy to do. If anybody has any ideas, please let me know. The unit has turned out pretty well and I think that students would have a fun learning experience with it.

Week 5

This week, I am going to work on my Curriculum Unit presentation. I have not worked with the presentation sites that were listed, so it should be interesting! Wish me luck! So far, the unit is coming along fairly well, with just a few hiccups along the way. This is a unit that I think the students would enjoy, and learn a lot from, at the same time.

Discussion on links

When I looked at the links provided, I thought the most interesting for me were Google Maps and Google News. With both of them, I can use them professionally and personally. Google News gives me an additional up to date news source to keep up with current events. With Google Maps, it helps give me directions trying to locate a certain location, which I use in my business regularly. These sites could also be used in the classroom, especially in Social Studies and Geography.

I have created my first blog. Hopefully, I can get better this. Some of this is new to me and will take some time to get use to. It's been challenging, but fun at the same time!
